Shooting Arrangements

Aiming Summer (April to September): we shoot at Verulam School Playing Fields, Sandpit Lane, St. Albans (Map Location ). The Club target Days are Sundays from 10:00 am until late afternoon. On Tuesdays, members practice from 6:00 pm until dusk. There is plenty of space to shoot the full distance of both metric and imperial rounds.

Winter (October to March): we shoot at St Albans Girls' School (STAGS) sports hall, Sandridgebury Lane, St Albans ( Map Location ) on Sundays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The hall is large enough for us to comfortably accommodate up to 40 members shooting a FITA 25 round (25 metres). It is just possible to shoot a Stafford round (30 metres).

Aiming On Tuesdays, members practise at STAGS gymnasium, St Albans from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This session is also used for bow-tuning and coaching. On Thursdays, in the same building, we shoot rounds from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. As the gym is smaller than the sports hall we are limited to 20yd/18m rounds.
